longing

If you search for peace you will find war

If you long for abundance you long for scarcity

If you search for friendship you will find loneliness

If you long for happiness you long for sadness

If you search for jollity you will find misery

If you long for the light you long for the dark

If you search for pleasure you will find pain

If you long for security you long for uncertainty.

There is only this, that which i see and taste and touch, that which i love so much, that which my mind tries to move to another space, anywhere but here, that which has flown away before it is spoken of, that which has disappeared before it is understood, that which will never come because it is already here

All that we do is perfection, all that we long for is pure, that casts such spells upon our lives, without which, it appears to me, this world would not be.

So to all our searchings, our longings and desires i say thank thee
